We see professional development as a way of life in Bayer
So what does development mean in Bayer? We say it's the way in which our employees grow to achieve
their full potential so that the organisation can grow too!
Development plans are individually tailored and delivered to meet our business requirements.
Employees have a key role in shaping these plans through regular discussions with their managers.
Development is not always about formal training though. It can be a combination of things like:
* Coaching and guidance from your manager
* New projects, experiences and job activities
* Trying something completely new
* Learning from colleagues and managers
* Asking questions and suggesting ideas
* Objectives and goals
* Formal education
Of course, employees do attend formal training as well. Our employees may attend Bayer in
house training courses often run overseas, but may also attend training courses run by external
companies in the UK. Employees are encouraged to gain professional qualifications where these meet
business needs
One thing that you can be sure of is Bayer's aim to provide an environment where every
employee can grow and develop to achieve their full potential both for their own benefit and to the
benefit of the company.
