As part of the Chiron Integration - moved from Halstead to Newbury to take up new challenges in
Service Management.
What I like about working for Bayer
It's never boring! There is always something new & challenging. Also, I feel empowered to
improve my parts of the business.
Career Summary
- 1992 Chiron Diagnostics - Technical Leader. Recruited to resolve difficult technical issues, to
provide high-level technical support, and to raise the company's scientific credibility within the
immunoassay market in 20 countries.
- 1998 Chiron Diagnostics - Technical Support/Technical Marketing Manager. Promoted to create a
new Technical Marketing team, to provide applications & engineering support, to manage new
product launches, and to implement sales support plans for immunoassay products in 20 countries -
13 staff.
- 2003 Bayer Diagnostics - Customer Support Manager. Responsible initially for Customer
Support teams for Immunoassay, Clinical Chemistry & Haematology. Role then expanded to
encompass Laboratory Computing, Critical Care & Cellular Pathology support - 30 staff.
- 2006 Bayer Diagnostic Imaging - Head of Service, Support & Training. Promoted to the
Senior Management team of Bayer Diagnostic Imaging with management responsibility for all
service, support and training functions - 88 office and field-based staff and an operating budget
of £7 million.
